The weekend of October 19th, my associate, Vanessa Romano, and I had the incredible opportunity of attending the Actor’s Fast Track Event in Los Angeles, California. At the 3-day event I was able to meet and speak with so many aspiring working actors that need help financially as well. Many people came up to me explaining how happy they were that someone was finally focusing on the issues that surround money, since many people think it is such a scary topic and try to ignore it. Growing up, no one ever taught me about money and how to make my money work for me, and like many of the attendees, neither did they.
My goal of the event was to introduce those attending about what I do and why I do it. I got the chance to speak to them about the Rule of 72, why they should keep an emergency fund, and that saving even if you are starting small, can make a huge impact in your future. It was an amazing turnout and I was able to meet so many great people. I am still keeping up with many of them and am now helping them with their finances. It was such great experience going to such an interesting and fun event while getting the chance to show off what I know to be the helping hand they always needed.
A quote that stuck out to me from the event was: "Actor's do not have a career path, they build their own." I find that it resonates with my business as well. People are not taught about money, how to make it grow, and how to get out of debt. But, they are only ones that can help themselves if they put the work in and get a coach, like myself, to help them through their finances and completely transform their life.
